Painting is such a great way to relax and destress, it allows you to express yourself since there are so many different ways you can paint. My favorite thing to do before I start painting is light a fresh candle preferably Cinnamon, open the windows for the natural lighting with a fresh breeze, I will turn on the audiobook I’m currently listening to, or light jazz/ Motown fun music like; The Temptations )is a favorite band of mine( My girl )is their most popular song. However, Painting is credibly rewarding whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, there are so many ways to learn nowadays. After you finish a painting it's always such a beautiful moment, “Did I really paint this?” I'm constantly in shock after finishing a painting.
There are many ways to learn how to paint different techniques, and styles to explore and express myself. The beginning was hard for me because I wanted to be the best, I used the internet a lot but the main way I learned was by watching videos and following how to do it, and over time you pick up on techniques Step by Step is my favorite painting website. I will often use Pinterest if I need to find a picture of a landscape, how-to’s, or what materials I need to use to do something specific on my painting, Pinterest is a great reference for almost anything.
Those are some of my personal paintings my favorite pieces, this is my favorite style of painting, I love landscapes, trees, and using a lot of different colors in my paintings. If you have ever thought about painting but were too scared I'm here to tell you just like anything practice makes perfect and to just do it rather than just putting anything you have in mind down on a canvas or watching a video. Either way, you won't regret it, it's incredible the things people can do in paintings.
Hi Mandi! I think your paintings are cool. I think that it is special that you have that connection with family and crafts. The best way to bond with people in your life is to do crafts and listen to music with them. I think it allows you to use your brain and hand-eye coordination more so than something like watching a movie.
